photo

The wonderful people at Simon & Schuster are sponsoring a Valentine's contest here at the Book Butterfly. One lucky winner will receive their choice of any THREE  finished books from the following list!

After the Kiss Love, Love, Love: Language of Love; Cupidity (Simon Romantic Comedies)
After the Kiss by Terra Elan McVoy
Love, Love, Love by Deborah Reber

I Like Him, He Likes Her: Alice Alone; Simply Alice; Patiently Alice Pucker Up
I Like Him, He Likes Her by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor
Pucker Up by Rhonda Stapleton

Nothing Like You

Nothing Like You by Lauren Strasnick

Want to win? It's easy as pie.  Just leave a comment along with your email address (so I can contact you if you are the winner). You don't have to decide which books you want now, but if you answer the question below, I'll give you an extra entry.

What are you doing for Valentine's Day?

What am I doing? Well I'm glad you asked because I'm proud to say it will be my 7-year wedding anniversary! I got married on Valentine's Day in Magen's Beach, St. Thomas (shaped like a  heart from the sky) to the greatest guy in the world and yes, he's very supportive of my book addiction! :)
We are going to Orlando for the night. Maybe do Universal, the outlet malls and going out for live jazz and a fancy dinner tonight!
Happy Valentine's Day!!

Contest Official Rules: Please note that the contest is open to all entrants with a valid U.S. mailing address only. If you do not live in the U.S. but have an alternative address the books can be sent to, you are welcome to enter.  All entrants must be at least 13 years old to enter. Contest ends 2/20 at midnight eastern standard time.

  10. First I'll be spending the day in an elementary school library teaching third graders research skills and talking to fifth graders about Tomie DePaola. I love books so spending the day in the library is not so bad, but I'll be topping off the evening with a romantic dinner out with my husband. I'm so happy he's not deployed this year.

  20. Valentine's Day is just like any other day for me. Hubby is not big on holidays/special occasions. He's not much of a gift person, neither giving nor receiving. He is more of a gesture person. He believes every day is special. He's right in theory, but sometimes it would be nice...

  22. For Valentines Day I'm doing what I do every day, I was in a car accident and broke my C-6 in my neck so had surgery to fix it. My husband of 12 years is unfortunately unemployed, but working on opening a new business, so will do his best to work on that while also, cooking, cleaning, changing our bedding, helping me with a shower, and doing all of the rest in his best to show me how much he loves me and cares for me in the best way a man can. To be there for you when you are at your worst and not by spending money but by actually being there and taking care of me and my world. I don't think I can ask for anything better for Valentines Day! Now that is Love!

  42. Happy Anniversary! Our anniversary is on February 11, our 17th. It is supposed to be good luck to get married before Chinese New Year which it was that year. We have already celebrated our anniversary with a big cake from the Chinese bakery. My husband made a big heart with beads on the living room walls. Today, we will be going out to nursery to look at flowers and trees and then do some window shopping.

  46. We aren't doing much for Valentine's Day. My other half and I don't really buy each other gifts, or have a date night or anything like that. I guess that is because I am of the belief that Valentine's is a completely commercial holiday, and that it shouldn't take giving a day a name and commercializing it to show someone you love them?? ( I'm a bummer, I know!)
However, that being said, my children and I will bake heart shaped cookies this afternoon.
