Thirst No. 1: The Last Vampire, Black Blood, Red Dice by Christopher Pike
Publication date: August 4th 2009 by Simon Pulse
As to blood — ah, blood, the whole subject fascinates me. I do like that as well, warm and dripping, when I am thirsty. And I am often thirsty....

Alisa has been in control of her urges for the five thousand years she has been a vampire. She feeds but does not kill, and she lives her life on the fringe to maintain her secret. But when her creator returns to hunt her, she must break her own rules in order to survive.

Her quest leads her to Ray. He is the only person who can help her; he also has every reason to fear her. Alisa must get closer to him to ensure her immortality. But as she begins to fall in love with Ray, suddenly there is more at stake than her own life....

Everlasting by Angie Frazier- (Summer 2010 from Scholastic) Heard about this on the Hiding Spot!

Sailing aboard her father’s trade ship is all seventeen-year-old Camille Rowen has ever wanted. But as a lady in 1855 San Francisco, her future is set: she is to marry a man she isn’t sure she loves, or condemn her and her father to poverty; forever lust after a sailor a few social classes below her; never again explore the open sea; and do it all with charm and grace, even if it is a sham.On her last voyage with her father, Camille learns the mother she has always believed dead is in fact alive and in Australia. When their Sydney-bound ship goes down in a gale, and her father dies, Camille sets out to find her mother and a map in her possession—a map believed to lead to a stone that once belonged to a legendary civilization of immortals. The stone can do exactly what Camille wants most: bring someone back from the dead. Unfortunately, her father’s adversary is also on the hunt for the stone, and she must race him to it.

With the help of the sailor Camille is undeniably falling in love with, and with an Australian card shark acting as their guide, Camille eludes murderous bushrangers, traverses dangerous highlands, evades a curse placed on the stone, and unravels the mystery behind her mother’s disappearance sixteen years earlier. When another death shakes her conviction to resurrect her father, Camille must choose what—and who—matters most.

Possessions by Nancy Holder

Publication Date: September 3rd 2009 by Razorbill
Lindsay is hoping for a fresh start, to get out of San Diego, where everyone remembers when she had her breakdown, and get away to boarding school, even if it is a boarding school as creepy as Marlwood Academy. But Lindsay is happier, and even manages to make a great new friend, Julie. Then, the school's most popular girl, Mandy starts acting super creepy. Rumors abound, but it's becoming more and more clear to Lindsay that something else is at work...something darker and more dangerous than just a houseful of mean girls.

For anyone that hasn't seen the cover of Captivate by Carrie Jones, isn't it pretty?

Lastly--does anyone have any info on Wolves, Boys and Other Things That Might Kill Me by Kristin Chandler? I love the title but haven't been able to find out anything more about the book!

Oh my gosh I was so excited to see Thirst the other day! I picked it up and stared for a while before hugging it to my chest during the rest of our shopping trip. I used to have Pike's The Last Vampire books and would read them constantly. I actually had parts memorized. Then we moved and I think they were tossed in a garage sale box. I've been wanting to replace the copies ever since but haven't been able to find them used and didn't want to pay the super expensive amounts for them now. This new one though, with the gorgeous cover I was more than happy to shell out the bucks for it!

I saw Thirst the other day at the bookstore but didn't take the time to find out what it's all about. Thanks for the info! It sounds like a good read. :)

Thirst sounds really interesting. My man just gave me two of Christopher Pike's vampire books to read - he used to read them all the time as a teen and says they're quite good. :)
