Guest Post: Lauren Bjorkman, Author of My Invented Life & Contest!

Hi, my name is Roz. I'm a junior in high school, avowed theater geek, and the talented younger sister of Eva the Diva. We used to be close. For the past few months Eva has been ignoring me, though. More than ignoring me. She's deleted me from her life like so much junk email. I want this to stop.

Top ten reasons why Eva has to should stop ignoring me:

10. She’s my older sister. She owes it to me.

9. My campaign to ignore her back has failed utterly.

8. If she’d pay attention to me, I’d stop sending her very long and inane text messages.

7. I’ve never done anything to her.

6. Except steal her ex-boyfriends. But she forgave me last two times.

5. Love is thicker than water.

4. If she keeps ignoring me, dire events could occur.

3. And by dire, I mean worse than the time I shrunk her cheerleading skirt (which was already dangerously revealing) (by accident, of course). And dropped her pom poms in the bathtub (by mistake). Who knew they would dissolve?

2. I care about her. And I know she still cares about me.

1. She can trust me with her secrets. True, I’ve blabbed in the past. But I’ve changed. I’m no flap-mouthed clackdish. Not any more. Honest.

About the Author:

I grew up on a sailboat, sharing the tiny forecastle with my sister and the sail bags. We are still friends. I still like to travel to exotic corners of the world, and have learned how to make bread from Bedouins in Yemen and played Hacky Sack with children in Thailand. I live in Taos, New Mexico with my husband, two sons, a cat that thinks he’s a dog.

Well, I already posted on my blog that I planned to read this book BEFORE I heard about this contest. In fact, Lauren dropped by and left a comment on my blogpost, so I dropped by her blog, which led me to this contest.
Obviously, I'd LOVE to have a free copy of this, and I've already announced to my own blog readers that I want to read it. Does that count for 2?

Thank you for having Lauren Bjorkman here. Thanks to Lauren for sharing.
What an amazing way to grow up.
Do you know many languages?
Did it inform your writing to see so many new cultures & peoples?
Are you and your sister still close?
All the best,
