I always love it when
Presenting Lenore does her "
German Translations In The Wild" so today when I went to the bookstore here in the Birmingham, I snapped a few covers that stood out to me. I have to say, I prefer the UK covers so far! It's a little blurry - but I really liked the covers for Rachel Caine's
Morganville Vampire series . They made me want to snatch up the whole series. I also love the black cover for Maggie Stiefvater's
Shiver and the alternate cover for
Burned by P.C. and Kristin Cast.
What do you guys think?
Blue Moon by Alyson Noel Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Glass Houses by Rachel Caine (US VERSION) Glass Houses by Rachel Caine (UK VERSION)
Burned by P.C. and Kristin Cast (UK version) vs (US version)

Usually I do like the UK cover better. Occasionally, I lean on the US one. :)
Oh I love the UK Morganville Vampires books...they glow in the dark! So pretty!
I usually love the US covers best but in some cases the UK version (or even French one) is better
I think it depends on the book. For example, I would never even touch the US covers for The Demon's Lexicon and The Demon's Covenant. On the contrary, I love the US versions of The Forest of Hands and Teeth and The Dead-Tossed Waves.
Alex- I totally agree with you on The Demon's Lexicon covers--I almost didn't read there series because of them! And I haven't seen the other versions for The Forest of Hands and Teeth. Must go look.... :)
I have noticed that the cover art for European copies of the books I like are always cooler.
Interesting how similar the Cast covers are - I almost wonder why they have different designs.
I tend to lean towards UK covers. The first that comes to mind is Carrie Ryan's books. I LOVED the UK covers: simple but compelling. I typically don't like photos of people on covers.
I love that cover for Blue Moon. I also prefer that Shiver cover. I love the black, white, and red colour palette.
I love the UK Shiver cover as well as the UK cover of Blue Moon.
