Cheerleader Isobel Lanley is horrified when she is paired with Varen Nethers for an English project, which is due—so unfair—on the day of the rival game. Yes, I've read the Tell-Tale Heart, and I really liked it.
The Tell-Tale Heart is the first work I read by Poe, and it's also my favorite. I've enjoyed everything I've read by him though.
I was a strange child. When other kids told ghost stories at summer camp, I told Edgar Alan Poe stories. The Cask of Amontillado was a favorite but the best was The Pit and the Pendulum. I could scare the crap out of kids with that one. My favorite poem is The City in the Sea, although I do love The Raven.

The only Poe I've read is 'The Raven'. My friend Ian and I had to memorize it for 10th grade--our English teacher said whoever could memorize the entire poem in time for Halloween (7 weeks later) would automatically be granted an auto 90% for the semester. He reasoned that anyone who puts that much effort into something deserves to be rewarded. :D Me and Ian memorized it together (half each) and had a blast doing it!

I've only read three works by Poe-The Cask of Amontillado, Annabel Lee and The Tell-Tale Heart. I didn't like The Cask of Amontillado but I did like the other two (which is strange because Tell-Tale has the same plot as The Cask of Amontillado-both of the narrators murder people!)

In my opinion, Edgar Allen Poe is by far the BEST poet to ever walk the earth. His poems give you chills and goosebumps in an eerie and amazing way, making you think about what you've just read for the next... week.
My favorite work by him is Annabel Lee. Also... man, I forgot the title! It's like Esperado or... something. But it's about a man who's trying to find the city of gold, but realizes that it doesn't exist. And then he meets a spirit who tells him... well, you just have to read the poem.

I have read Poe. I was first exposed back in 8th grade. I was not a fan at that point in time. I couldn't appreciate it then. We read The Tell Tale Heart and The Pit and The Pendulum. However, since then I have been attracted to Annabelle Lee because of a book I read where the characters loved the story.
