Guest Post: Top Ten List with Brenda Pandos

Today I'd like to welcome author Brenda Pandos, who stopped by to talk about what movies she likes to watch when not writing!  Brenda has a new book coming out, The Sapphire Talisman, which releases December 15, 2010.

Brenda Pandos is a web-designer who lives in California with her husband and two energetic children. Shortly after the birth of her second son, Brenda's oldest was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder that turned her world upside-down. Her life became round the clock feedings with a newborn and a daily stream of tutors working to help her son. She craved a meaningful escape.

THE EMERALD TALISMAN is a compilation of what the author would like to happen if she ever happened to encounter a real vampire. Official Website &Blog

TOP TEN ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIES

A lot of my favorite movies are technically classics now. Life has drastically changed after becoming a mom. I’ve found I don’t have a lot of time for movies anymore and I need to fit in my writing somewhere, so TV and movies have taken a back seat. I think this is a good thing though. I believe you should live your life and strive to achieve your dreams and not necessarily watch someone else do it on the screen.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off Bueller...Bueller... Edition (Special Collector's Edition)1. Ferris Bueller's Day Off – Ferris is the guy I wanted to date in high school. I somewhat put a little bit of “Ferris” into Phil. Such a classic.

2. The Saint – Val Kilmer is hot! Such a clever movie.

3. So I Married an Ax Murderer – Initially, I thought this was a horror movie. It’s funny as all get out. My family quotes this movie all the time.

4. Monty Python, Holy Grail – One summer when I was a Day Camp counselor, I was forced to watch this movie and totally didn’t get it. Then once I realized the point was to be totally random, I saw the humor. We quoted this ALL summer!

Napoleon Dynamite5. Napoleon Dynamite – Freaking hilarious and if you don’t think so, you haven’t watched it with me

6. Steel Magnolias – I adore Sally Field. Seriously, this is drama at it’s finest. One moment you’re bawling and then laughing. Great!

7. LOTR’s Triology – I couldn’t get over the cinematography and watched this over and over. Peter Jackson’s incredibly brilliant.

8. Princess Bride – Inconceivably awesome.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (Special Edition)9. Raiders of the Lost Ark – Great classic and Harrison Ford is adorable.

10. Splash – Inspired my love for mermaids. I even tried to make a tail and swim in my pool over this one!

Ironically, there are no vampire movies. Though, I really loved Brad Pitt in Interview with a Vampire (but when recently rewatching it, I changed that opinion), Blade and Lost Boys.

Princess Bride!

Oooo Val was hot in The Saint. But to me, he was never hotter than as IceMan in Top Gun.

Great list!
