FOR REVIEW--

Elixir ELIXIR BY HILARY DUFF Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing (October 12, 2010)

Clea Raymond has felt the glare of the spotlight her entire life. The daughter of a renowned surgeon and a prominent Washington DC politician, she has grown to be a talented photojournalist who takes refuge in a career that allows her to travel to the most exotic parts of the world. But after Clea’s father disappears while on a humanitarian mission, Clea’s photos begin to feature eerie, shadowy images of a strange and beautiful man—a man she has never seen before.

When fate brings Clea and this man together, she is stunned by the immediate and powerful connection she feels with him. As they grow closer, they are drawn deep into the mystery behind her father’s disappearance, and they discover the centuries old truth behind their intense bond. Torn by a dangerous love triangle and haunted by a powerful secret that holds their fates, together they race against time to unravel their pasts in order to save their lives—and their futures.

THE SAPPHIRE TALISMAN BY BRENDA PANDOS

With the local vampire coven decimated, Julia and Nicholas try to begin a somewhat normal life together. Bound by secrecy from a shape shifter determined to see Julia’s world-saving prediction come to fruition, Julia isn’t allowed to tell Nicholas the leader survived, ransacking her happiness with guilt. When Alora returns, bent on revenge, the reunion forces Nicholas and Julia to choose what they are willing to live and die for.

Nightwalker (Dark Days, Book 1)NIGHTWALKER BY JOCELYNN DRAKE
For centuries Mira has been a nightwalker—an unstoppable enforcer for a mysterious organization that manipulates earth-shaking events from the darkest shadows. But elemental mastery over fire sets her apart from others of her night-prowling breed . . . and may be all that prevents her doom.
The foe she now faces is human: the vampire hunter called Danaus, who has already destroyed so many undead. For Mira, the time has come to hunt . . . or be hunted.

Has anybody read Jocelynn Drake's novels? I've heard some good things about this series. Can't wait to check it out. While YA is my main focus, I can't turn away a good adult vampire or werewolf book!

I can't wait to read Elixir! It sounds like a great read!

This week Over the Moon by Diane Daniels came in the mail from a contest I won. I didn't buy any books this week, but I picked up The Scorch Trials, Mistwood, The Mercy Thompson Series books, A Match Made in High School, and It's Not Summer Without You from the library.

Jocelynn's books are AWESOME!! I love them!! Nightwalker was great and the series just keeps getting better and better!

At the end of Pray for Dawn, book 4, be warned of a cliffhanger! But at least book 5 can be ready and waiting for you!

The series is really cool, Mira goes to different places a lot and you get to see all these different countries and landscapes and there's tons of action and lots of mystery centered in this first book!!

It's a really good series!!
