YA Movie Madness!

For those of you who are a bit behind on your YA books-to-movie news (like me), let's get caught up, shall we?!

THE HUNGER GAMES

Academy Award Nominee Jennifer Lawrence was the film makers’ choice to play Katniss in the forthcoming cinematic adaptation of The Hunger Games. And we finally have her co-stars: Peeta Mellark will be played by Josh Hutcherson and Gale Hawthorne by Liam Hemsworth. What do you guys think? I am really happy with all these choices overall, though I do think Jennifer Lawrence looks a tad old to play the part of Katniss.

Paranormalcy, the New York Times bestseller

Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.

But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.

So much for normal.

Kiersten White did a blog post stating that Scott Winant "who has several Emmy's and esteemed television and cable series to his name"  will be directing the movie! Check out her post here. And I have to agree with Cindy Pon on casting Kiersten as Evie. :)

'Twilight' author confirms Renesmee casting for 'Breaking Dawn'

Mackenzie Foy is the actress playing Renesmee in The Breaking Dawn Movie. Isn't she perfect?

Does anyone else have any movie scoop? I love it when books that I love are being made into movies!
